Check-Ups & Cleanings
Even with ideal oral hygiene habits, regular check-ups are instrumental in maintaining your dental health. During your first visit, we’ll assess the condition of your teeth and gums to determine how often we’d like to see you.
If you brush and floss twice a day, you might only need to come in once a year, but someone prone to cavities or other dental issues might require a check-up as often as every three months.
Detectable through a careful clinical examination and x-ray, cavities are caused by bacteria that linger on a tooth for long periods of time, producing chemicals that damage the tooth’s structure.
After anesthetizing the affected area and removing decay, we use an amalgam, composite, or porcelain filling to restore your tooth’s condition.
